Samsung just shared the features of its newest camera sensor, the ISOCELL Bright HM1. The 108MP sensor increases the pixel’s full well capacity through ISOCELL Plus technology, which isolates each pixel with a physical barrier.
Apart from shooting more detailed photos and boosting pixel performance through the ISOCELL Plus technology, the ISOCELL Bright HM1 also offers Nonacell technology. The latter is responsible for delivering brighter, clear, and noiseless images taken in low-light environments. Samsung’s latest camera sensor also can shoot up to 3X lossless zoom, retaining its 12MP resolution and without upscaling. Unlike other camera sensors, embedded hardware IPs into the image sensor to enable direct pixel remapping without the aid of mobile processors.
Taking camera sensors to greater heights, the ISOCELL Bright HM1 has a Smart-ISO to optimize and extend dynamic range according to shooting environments. This automatically adjusts light sensitivity that can pass through the sensor and reduces noise on photos taken.
We’ll know more about the ISOCELL Bright HM1 when Samsung ships it on with the brand’s next future flagship phones.
