Samsung has just announced that it is delaying the release of its Galaxy Fold. The announcement comes in after multiple review units had issues in them, such as the display breaking and becoming unusable, causing Samsung to recall the devices.
In an email sent to customers who pre-ordered the Galaxy Fold, Samsung has stated that they are “making progress in enhancing the Galaxy Fold”. The devices were meant to ship out to customers by May 31. Samsung added:
We cannot confirm the anticipated ship date yet. We’ll update you with more specific shipping information in the coming weeks.
Samsung also noted in the email that customers who pre-ordered the galaxy Fold will not be charged until their orders ship. The company is also noted that customers may cancel their orders until May 31. They may also request that Samsung keeps the order and fulfill it at a later date. As required by US regulations, Samsung also declared that orders will be automatically canceled if customers don’t cancel nor confirm by May 31.
