Samsung rolls out One UI 3.1

Samsung has recently announced the latest One UI 3.1 update, coming to select Galaxy devices. The latest update, which first launched with the Galaxy S21 series, delivers new camera capabilities to capture and edit photos and videos, along with smart new features.

“Following the announcement of 3-generation Android OS upgrades for select Galaxy devices, we ensure to equip our consumers with powerful new features as soon as they are available. Our One UI 3.1 update marks an important next step in that mission,” President and Head of Mobile Communications Business of Samsung Electronics, TM Roh, stated.

The Samsung One UI 3.1 has introduced new camera innovations for the Galaxy S21 series, and now, even the earlier Galaxy devices can experience these features with the latest update.

It features an improved Single Take feature, which captures a variety of still and video formats simultaneously, with just a tap. The One UI 3.1 also introduces the new Object eraser tool. This intelligent photo editing tool lets the user cut out unwanted parts of your photos effortlessly, without time-consuming manual editing. Plus, there’s also the improved touch autofocus and autoexposure controller for adjusting the photos’ focus and brightness.

The update also introduces the new Multi Mic Recording feature, which, when in Pro Video mode, allows the user to simultaneously record audio through both your phone and a connected Bluetooth device such as Galaxy Buds Pro, Buds Live, and Buds+.

Other than the new camera capabilities, the One UI 3.1 also brings new smart features, including the Eye Comfort Shield for the user’s viewing comfort and the Remove location data function for privacy.

Lastly, with the new One UI 3.1 across Galaxy devices, the Galaxy ecosystem’s experience is smooth and seamless. Moreover, the consistent interface makes switching between your phone and tablet hassle-free. Having said that, the Galaxy Buds Pro, Buds Live, and Buds+’s Auto Switch feature seamlessly switch the audio between Galaxy devices.

The latest Samsung One UI 3.1 has started rolling out on Galaxy S20 series, Note20 series, Z Fold2 and Z Flip, and the S10, Note10, and Fold, A71, A51, A90, A80, A70, and A50 devices. Do note that its availability may vary by region and carrier.
