A company executive of Samsung has confirmed that they are currently working on bringing foldable technology to more devices such as tablets and laptops in the future.
It was confirmed in an interview between the Independent and T.M. Roh, President and Head of Samsung’s Mobile eXperience Business that foldable tablets and laptops could soon make their way into Samsung’s line of devices being offered.
“Foldables will expand to other categories like the tablet and PC and continue to develop after.”
“What has been applied to the smartphone will then spread to the tablet and laptops as well. To that end we at Samsung are investing a lot of resources. And once that foundational technology is developed and we believe that the product is ready to provide meaningful innovation to consumers, then, of course, we want to introduce them.”

Roh also told the Independent that the company is currently targeting a total of 30 million sales of foldable devices globally showing that it is a niche that is strongly growing.
As to when Samsung’s foldable tablets and laptops will come, he did not give a definite timeline for when the launch of said products would be.
This comes after Samsung recently introduced its latest line of foldable smartphones and tablets, the Samsung Galaxy ZFlip 5, Galaxy ZFold 5, Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9 Plus, and the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra.
All of these have emphasized portability with the Galaxy Flip and Fold being able to fold while the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra although being a large 14.6-inch tablet, still being portable enough given how thin and light it is.
