At CES 2018, Samsung will be introducing three new projects that were developed in its C-Lab (Creative Lab) program, namely the S-Ray, GoBreath, and Relúm?no.
The S-Ray (Sound-Ray) is an innovative audio device that sits in a class of its own, combining properties from both earphones and speakers.
It’s a portable directional speaker, that allows you to have your own personal bubble of sound without having to wear any earphones.
Next up is the GoBreath, a medical device that helps patients lung damage or postoperative pulmonary complications.
It, along with its companion app can help patients with their deep breathing exercises for faster recovery. It was conceptualized by a doctor at the Samsung Medical Center.
Finally, we have Relúm?no, which are referred to as “smart visual aid eyeglasses”. It helps visually impaired individuals with reading books or looking at objects with fine details.
It works in tandem with the Relúmino app on the user’s smartphone, which processes the image from the glasses’ camera, and then sends it back to the display of the glasses.
These are definitely some exciting innovations from Samsung that we can’t wait to see, but we’ll have to wait just a little bit more for the company to fully showcase them at CES 2018.
