Samsung wants 4GB DDR4 RAM on next Galaxy phone?

While we feel that having a 3GB RAM on the Galaxy Note 3 is already overkill, Samsung is planning on producing 4GB DDR4 memory by 2014. That’s twice as much as all other flagship smartphones in the market today.

Samsung makes their own storage and memory chips so a 4GB RAM isn’t far-fetched for next year.

It could only mean we’d bee seeing the Samsung Galaxy S5 to have 4GB of RAM. Talk about over-kill.

    • Agreed with MangKanor here. Kahit pang asar ang name nya. When you want to innovate, you do not set a limit. Our ideas should be boundless. Tsk tsk… Oh well…

    • Well there’s always a room for improvement buddy

Pero hindi impossible yung 1 week battery life under heavy usage.

Supercapacitors and Carbon Nanotubes as batteries ;) exciting stuff

    • @mon yeah i know them but theyre still under development

Naway mawala kana sa mundong to wew. Hahahahaha iyakin! :)))

  2. How can they do that? If android don’t support 64bit yet?

    • futureproofing.. at least pag lumabas na yung 64-bit android, the phone is ready in terms of RAM.. besides, some of the RAM is used by the graphics so hindi pa rin 4Gb and sa Android talaga… for me this is not overkill esp if the RAM they use does not eat up more power than the 3gb/2gb RAM.. it might be even better if the 4GB RAM is slightly faster.. ang overkill sa kin yung 2K resolution ng screen…

  3. My S4 always eats around 1gb of ram anytime. so this 4gb would be great. just make a battery that can last up to a day with heavy usage and it will be great.

  4. Kids, kung may 1 Gb ang Android ninyo sapat na yun, as long as meron kayong ”Auto-kill” Apps tulad ng Memory Booster at DU Battery saver.

    Makes a whole lotta difference

    • That’s where rooting, Greenify and RAM Expander come in, dear.

    • @Zobel pero sad to say d lahat ng tao alam ang mga apps nato, o hindi nila alam na kaya palang gawin to sa phone nila…

  5. This is another way of the Koreans saying, “Suck it, Japan!” lolz

  6. This is good news… We all know Android apps getting memory hungry.. A lot of games take at least 1 GB of storage space…

Hope all the low end phones increase the RAM on their phones…

  8. This is achieved through a variety of heating, refrigeration and air
conditioning courses such as Ethics in Technology and Environment; Acts, Regulations and Procedures; Electrical Fundamentals; Mechanical Cooling Cycle; Pipe Joining & Installation for Cooling; Systems Design and Installation; Air Conditioning
and Distribution Systems and many mothers. This condition normally affects older people and young children, but everyone
is susceptible. “Literally, I’m a small man for this industry, but my somewhat small size has also made me rather useful in many ways – I can crawl into spaces where other men can not, and I can still move around and get to things others can not.
