Smart, TNT launch Double GIGA+ prepaid promos

Smart and TNT have launched their newest prepaid offerings called the Double GIGA+ which comes with data, daily data allowances for social media, and Unli AllNet calls and texts.

For Smart Prepaid, it offers Double Giga Video+ and Giga Stories+. These mostly differ in the platforms supported. Video+ is for streaming sites, while Stories+ is for social media.

When using digital wallets, SMART’s GIGA LIFE APP and/or UMB (*123#) to avail of the DOUBLE GIGA+ offer, you will notice that the product description explicitly omits the Unli AllNet Calls feature.

This is because of the caveats that’s cryptic to many users. Here’s how Smart explains it at their website ( https://smart.com.ph/prepaid/doublegigaplus )

“Double Giga+ offers listed may differ per subscriber depending on promo to be availed and/or promo channel and may vary from brand to brand.”

Furthermore, “Upon successful availment and meeting of criteria, subscriber will receive spiel notification that he/she’s granted 2x the EVERY DAY apps data allocation inclusion, Unlimited Allnet Calls/SMS and corresponding other regular inclusion of the GIGA availed.”

So, therefore, buyer beware. It’s not as straightforward as it’s hyped.
