Sony has recently launched its latest addition to the Cinema Line lineup of professional cameras for content creators and filmmakers, the FX6.
The full-frame professional camera is equipped with a 10.2 MP full-frame back-illuminated CMOS Exmor R sensor that delivers a 15+ stop wide dynamic range with high sensitivity and low noise. It has an expandable ISO up to 409,600 for shooting in low light environments, supports up to 12G-SDI and 4K 60p video recording with 16-bit SDI RAW output, BIONZ XR image processing engine, S-Cinetone for richer tonal reproduction of colors, fast Hybrid Auto Focus adapted from Alpha cameras and FX9, and supports up to 12G-SDI and 4K at up to 60p 16-bit SDI RAW output.
The camera can also record videos up to 8-bit QFHD 4K, set variable ND to auto, or adjust the filter density manually in smooth increments from 1/4 to 1/128. It has a heat-dissipating form factor to keep the camera from overheating, a 3.5-inch LCD viewfinder for easier controls, built-in Wi-Fi, four-channel audio recording, and compatibility to more than 50 E-mount lenses. The new camera also features two media slots compatible with CFexpress Type A cards for faster read and write speeds on top of UHS-II/UHS-I SDXC card slots.
Sony mentioned that the FX6 Cinema Line full-frame camera would be available in the Philippines soon. Stay tuned to our page for local pricing and availability.
