Spotify has announced yesterday that their desktop application will get a new look for users’ Your Library and Now Playing.
Seen on the left side of the application, users can find the new Your Library section there. Spotify states that this may save users time and allows them to switch between playlists with ease.
Your Library can be collapsible should the user choose to do so. There’s also a search and filter feature in Your Library to look for specific music, podcasts and audiobooks that users have saved in their library.
The Now Playing feature can be found on the right-hand side of the application which shows the users’ current song or podcast playing. Spotify has included information about the song and artist alongside tour dates and merchandise. Podcasts may have transcripts seen here.
This new update is available now globally for all users on desktop. Users can get on Spotify and see the new features for themselves.
