Smart mobile users can now switch from physical SIM cards to the Smart Prepaid eSIM and retain their original mobile number.
In comparison to physical SIM cards, eSIMs are convenient, secure, and flexible. Mobile users can enjoy the same data, calling, and texting services with easier activation and management.
Smart Signature subscribers and Smart Infinity members may upgrade to an eSIM at any Smart Store in the Philippines.
For non-Smart postpaid customers, you can switch to a Smart Postpaid eSIM by getting your Unique Subscriber Code. Just contact your current network provider and submit your required documents to the nearest Smart Store in your area.
The Smart Prepaid eSIM is compatible with the latest flagship smartphones from Apple, HUAWEI, OPPO, and Samsung among others. However, we do recommend that users check if their devices are capable of eSIM connectivity.
Smart launched the first Prepaid eSIM in the Philippines last year in July 2023. Ever since, it has been made widely available to mobile users.
You can find this at Smart’s Online Store, accredited retailers nationwide, airport kiosks, and leading e-commerce sites.
This is powered by Smart’s award-winning mobile network, cited for delivering the best 5G Coverage and Availability in the Philippines by independent network analytics from Opensignal.
If you want to learn more about switching to a Smart Prepaid eSIM while keeping your number in tact, feel free to visit Smart’s eSIM page here 2.1K. If readers want to learn how to rescan their eSIM for use on another device, you may also click here 277.
