The Philippines’ TNC Gaming, premium gaming spot High Grounds Cafe, and Malaysian ESports outlet SYBER have announced a merger that will aim to spearhead the flourishment of the ESports industry here in the country.
This merger with the three companies was made official with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding last July 25 at High Grounds in Tomas Morato, Quezon City. SYBER and High Grounds Café (which is powered by TNC Gaming) will be spearheading the growing Esports scene throughout specific countries including Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, and China in order to build a healthy community in the region, beginning with the first leg of the New Blood Championships for aspiring DOTA2 players kicking off this August.
Paulo Sy, Manager for TNC Gaming, hinted that the partnership may go beyond the usual DOTA2 gaming and has taken interest in organizing tourneys for other titles such as League of Legends and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
SYBER, a Malaysian e-sports bar, promotes the growth and development of Esports by creating an exciting, challenging, and high-end environment that allows the scene to grow in the South East Asian Region.
