Bandai has unveiled the new Tamagotchi Smart series, Tamagotchi’s first wearable series.
The first Tamagotchi debuted on November 25, 1996, as an electronic toy for kids. This time Bandai has revealed the new Tamagotchi but in a smartwatch-like form in Japan, in time for its 25th anniversary. This wearable will enable users to take care of their virtual pet right from their wrists.
The new Tamagotchi Smart is equipped with a touch LCD and microphone function. It also features smartwatch-like functions, such as a digital clock, pedometer, touch and voice controls, up to 30 hours of battery life, and more.

Other than its functions, the Tamagotchi Smart comes with new characters. Furthermore, the company will also sell separate “TamaSma cards” to enable Tamagotchi Smart users to add exclusive characters and items to their wearable.
The Tamagotchi Smart comes in two color options: Mint Blue and Coral Pink.
The Tamagotchi Smart is priced at JPY 6,380, and it will be released in late November 2021.
