TCL 50 Pro NxtPaper and TCL 50 NxtPaper launched

The TCL 50 Pro NxtPaper and TCL 50 NxtPaper smartphones have been launched. The phones are slated to help reduce eye strain for their users. Oddly enough, there isn’t much of a difference from the two devices.

The TCL 50 Pro NxtPaper has a 6.8-inch curved 2.5D display. It offers FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. NxtPaper technology makes the screen come off as paper-like with no reflections.

TCL also added a button on the right side below the power button. This is a toggle for switching between Normal, Color Paper, and Max Ink display modes.

It’s powered by a Dimensity 6300 chipset and comes with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. There’s even a microSD card slot if users need to expand storage further.

The phone boasts a triple-rear camera setup as well, including a 108-megapixel main, 8-megapixel ultrawide, and 2-megapixel macro sensors. For selfies, it’s equipped with a 32-megapixel camera at the front.

The phone runs on Android 14. TCL promises two (2) years of OS upgrades and support until 2029 for units available in the European Union.

It packs a 5,010mAh battery with 33W of charging via USB Type-C as well. Notably, only the Pro model ships with an adapter and a flip case out of the box.

The TCL 50 Pro NxtPaper is available in Blue, Gold, Gray, Pink, and White colorways. It’s priced at EUR 299 (~PHP 19,000), slated to be available in Europe and Latin America.
