Reports state that TCL Communication, the company license holder for Alcatel and Blackberry, will reveal its own smartphone at IFA 2019.
China Star Opto-Electronics Technology (CSOT) developed the screen of TCL’s upcoming device that will have a “Dotch” display. This is basically the punch-hole display that we’ve already seen with a bunch of smartphones in the market.
The company will also reveal a new foldable display concept that will have a “100-inch cinematic viewing experience to a device about the size of most sunglasses“. This one is called the ButterflyHinge system could be another design aside from the DragonHinge foldable mechanism that they announced back at MWC 2019.
We’ll know more once TCL introduces their products on September 5 at IFA 2019.
