TECNO Camon 18 Premier receives TÜV Rheinland certifications

TECNO Mobile has announced that its CAMON 18 Premier smartphone has received two new internationally recognized TÜV Rheinland certifications.

The two certifications received are for Low Blue Light (Hardware solution) and Safe Fast-charge Systems, which will provide consumers with better eye protection and ensure the safety of fast charging for long-time phone usage. The harmful damage to eyes caused by blue lights from computer and mobile screens has become a heated topic in recent years, especially with increasing hours of smartphone usage in daily life among heavy phone users, including teenagers and children.

According to various industry research, blue light penetrates all the way to the retina, and too much exposure to blue light can damage light-sensitive cells in the retina and may even lead to permanent vision loss. While blue light can technically be found everywhere, it is most excessively present in computer and phone screens as well as fluorescent and LED lights. TECNO’s CAMON 18 Premier, with its Low Blue Light Certification from TÜV Rheinland, aims to be a smartphone to provide its consumers with the best eye care possible.

As a certificated product of TÜV Rheinland, the CAMON 18 Premier can shift the peak of blue light outside the range of 415-455nm, which is considered the strongest and potentially the most dangerous blue light wavelengths. Because of this, the smartphone provides comfort to its user’s eyes and reduces overall power consumption. According to TECNO, they made sure there were no compromises in the display as a test for wide color gamut was used.

Along with eye protection, a safe fast-charging system is promised by TECNO. This will provide consumers a worry-free, fast, efficient, and reliable charging while sustaining the smartphone’s battery life. The Camon 18 Premier supports a 33W quick charge and is advertised to give 64% battery in an hour and a full charge in under 68 minutes.

The pre-order period for CAMON 18 Premier is from November 6 to 10, while pre-order for the CAMON 18 and CAMON 18P is from November 6 to 19. The CAMON 18 Series will be available online via the TECNO Mobile PH Official Store in Shopee, Lazada, Kimstore, MemoXpress, Rulls, Ephone Shopee, Ephone Lazada and Wirecomm.
