TECNO has a new addition to its premium lineup — the TECNO Phantom X2 Pro 5G that features a retractable lens on its triple rear camera setup.
The said quirk makes it perfect for portrait photographs through its 65mm smartphone lens with an impressively large aperture at f/1.49. It also has is a large sensor that measures at 1/1.3 inch. These parameters combined, it should be able to achieve shallower depth of field, making the subject pop out from the background with more natural bokeh effect.
The said retractable lens has a powered mechanism keeping the phone thin extends outward and can retract back when not in use, as you can see in TECNO’s promotional video below.
Another 50MP lens adds into the mix and a 13MP ultrawide that doubles as a macro camera as it supports autofocus.
Alongside the TECNO Phantom X2 Pro is its standard model, the Phantom X2 5G but stripped off of the retractable lens and uses an RGBW 64MP primary lens. You can easily tell them apart through the camera since the Pro variant does have a decorative ring around its retractable lens while the standard model does not.
Both the devices are equipped with a Dimensity 9000 chipset, a 120Hz 6.8-inch curved AMOLED display, and a 5,610mAh battery. Check out their full specs and pricing below.
