AnTuTu just released the top performing devices of August based on their benchmarks. The compiled list is based on AnTuTu V7 and was done in average running scores rather than the highest attained number. The tests were done from August 1 to 31.
Here are the top performers of August 2018:
- Xiaomi Black Shark — 292,887
- Meizu 16 Plus — 291,025
- Smartisan Nut R1 — 289,490
- VIVO Nex — 286,286
- Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer — 286,268
- OPPO Find X — 285,344
- OnePlus 6 — 284,470
- Samsung Galaxy Note 9 — 282,958
- Xiaomi Mi 8 — 272,527
- Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S — 265,256
Leading the pack once again is Xiaomi’s Black Shark, this has been its third month on the top. Following closely is the newly released Meizu 16 Plus. These phones have one thing in common — a dedicated heat management system to keep systems running at peak performance despite prolonged use. The third slot now belongs to Smartisan’s Nut R1, which was previously in fifth place, replacing the now 7th placer OnePlus 6.
Taking the fourth spot is VIVO’s flagship Nex followed by Xiaomi’s Mi 8 Explorer and OPPO’s Find X, respectively. Taking the last three spots are Samsung’s Galaxy Note 9 and Xiaomi’s Mi 8 and Mi Mix 2S. The variant of the Note 9 in the list is the one equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845.
August was a pretty slow month of smartphone releases but with the pending arrival of the Mate 20 series and Apple’s new iPhone, the landscape may very well change in the coming months.
