Twitter has just now announced that it has added a new feature, a closed caption toggle for videos.
The toggle or button will show up on the top right corner of the video if captions are available. The feature is also made available for everyone using Twitter on iOS or Android.
The Verge reports that Twitter spokesperson Shaokyi Amdo said that the closed captions will only show on videos with captions already available and that the feature is not related to Twitter’s automated caption system.
The feature will give the added benefit to users who find reading subtitles when watching videos much easier than listening.
