Valve on Wednesday has introduced its Certified Refurbished Steam Decks that slash up to 20 percent OFF the original price.
According to Valve, the refurbished units have been thoroughly tested at their facilities and come with a one-year warranty, just like a new Steam Deck.
Every unit undergoes a thorough facelift, including a complete factory reset, software update, and over 100 examinations. Valve’s high standards guarantee that the refurbished units meet or even exceed the performance standards of new retail units, despite having minor cosmetic blemishes.

So, customers can enjoy a reliable and high-quality gaming experience at a lower cost.
Here is what you can expect to find in the box when you purchase a Certified Refurbished Steam Deck:
- The same one-year warranty as a new Steam Deck (unless longer as determined by your country of residence)
- A refurbished power supply – fully tested (may have minor cosmetic marks)
- Carrying case and Quick Start guide
Furthermore, Valve has collaborated with GameStop to make refurbished Steam Decks available in select stores starting today. These units have been refurbished at GameStop facilities and come with their own warranty, says Valve.
Certified Refurbished Steam Decks price and availability
The following are the prices for the refurbished Decks:
- USD 319 | 64GB
- USD 419 | 256GB
- USD 519 | 512GB
This is a considerable discount compared to the Deck’s brand-new prices, which are USD 399, USD 529, and USD 649, respectively.
Due to the refurbishing process and the fact that Valve selects Certified Refurbished units from customer returns that meet strict criteria, supplies of the refurbished Steam Decks are limited and availability may vary over time.
No word yet on its availability to other markets. But with Valve’s collaboration with GameStop in the US, we hope to see a similar approach in the Philippines through local service centers or game console distributors.
