The vivo V40e has been launched in India today as an alternative to the V40 without ZEISS cameras.
The phone sports a 6.77-inch AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. It even offers up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness. Powering this device is a Dimensity 7300 chipset. It also comes with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.
For optics, users can find a dual-rear camera setup and the series’ mainstay Aura Light feature. These shooters consist of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 main camera with OIS paired with an 8-megapixel ultra wide. At the front, users will get a 50-megapixel camera with eye autofocus for selfies and the like.
The device will run on Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14 out of the box. vivo also promises three (3) years of software updates and four (4) years of security patches with the device.
Wrapping up the spec sheet, it packs a large 5,500mAh battery with 80W of fast charging via USB Type-C. The phone comes in Mint Green and Royal Bronze color options.
The vivo V40e is priced at INR 28,999PHP 20,073USD 342EUR 326CNY 2,491 (~PHP 19USD 0.32INR 27EUR 0.31CNY 2.4K) with 8GB/128GB. It’s also available for INR 30,999PHP 21,458USD 366EUR 348CNY 2,663 (~PHP 20USD 0.34INR 29EUR 0.32CNY 2.8K) with 8GB/256GB. It’s currently available for pre-orders on vivo’s website, with open sales beginning on October 2, 2024.
