vivo X100 Ultra now official: 200MP periscope telephoto, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3

vivo has welcomed several new additions to its flagship series, including the top-of-the-line vivo X100 Ultra.

Photography takes center stage with a triple-camera system co-developed with Zeiss. The star of the show is the massive 200MP 1/1.14-inch ISOCELL HP9 periscope telephoto lens with 3.7x optical zoom and a whopping 460mm focal length.

vivo claims it can capture clear images at up to 30x zoom in video mode and will be among the few smartphones that can capture 4K slow-motion footage at 120fps. It inherits the Zeiss APO floating lens design from the X100 Pro and of course, offers a variety of ZEISS-branded portrait modes.

It’s joined by a 50MP (23mm) main sensor with OIS and a 50MP (14mm) ultrawide sensor. The vivo X100 Ultra also debuts the company’s BlueImage technology, which combines a new V3+ imaging chip with improved image processing algorithms designed to address common smartphone camera issues, like lighting behind the subject and low-light performance.

Up front, the phone sports a 6.78-inch E7 AMOLED display with 2K resolution. It offers a smooth 1~120Hz refresh rate, 3000 nits peak brightness, and Dolby Vision support. An ultrasonic fingerprint scanner is integrated for secure unlocking.

There’s the 50MP selfie shooter as well, housed in a hole punch notch.

Battery is rated at 5500mAh paired with 80W wired and 30W wireless charging. It runs OriginOS 4 based on Android 14 and gets an IP69 rating for dust and water protection. Furthermore, it will support 5.5G and two-way satellite communication albeit limited in China only.
