The vivo Y36c 5G has been launched, slated to be an offering that serves as a budget-friendly 5G smartphone alternative.
The phone has a 6.56-inch LCD panel with a refresh rate of 90Hz and peaks at 840 nits. It’s also certified for low blue light eye protection.
It’s powered by a Dimensity 6300 octa-core chipset, with storage configurations up to 12GB RAM and 256GB. The phone is equipped with dual-rear shooters which include a 50-megapixel main camera and an unspecified lens with LED flash.
The Y36c packs a 5,000mAh battery with 15W of charging via USB Type-C. Connectivity-wise, the phone comes with 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, and dual nano-SIM.
The phone runs on OriginOS based on Android 14. Other features include a 3.5mm audio port and an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.
The vivo Y36c 5G comes in Diamond Purple, Distant Mountain Green, and Moon Shadow Black color options. It’s priced at CNY 899 (~PHP 7K) with 6GB/128GB and CNY 999 (~PHP 8K) with 8GB/128GB.
The higher configurations cost CNY 1,099 (~PHP 9K) with 8GB/256GB, and CNY 1,299 (~PHP 10K) with 12GB/256GB. The device is now available in China, with no word yet on whether it will arrive on Philippine shores.
