Wage hike approved for minimum wage earners in Metro Manila

The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board-NCR has approved a Php10 wage hike for minimum wage earners in Metro Manila.

On top of the new Php481 basic wage, an additional Php10 COLA is now added to achieve a Php491 daily minimum wage rate. Its effectivity will begin on June 2, 2016 and covers workers based on the following cities:

  • Caloocan
  • Las Pinas
  • Makati
  • Malabon
  • Mandaluyong
  • Manila
  • Marikina
  • Muntinlupa
  • Paranaque
  • Pasay
  • Pasig
  • Quezon
  • San Juan
  • Taguig
  • Valenzuela
  • Municipalities of Navotas and Pateros

      based on your profile you don’t need those additional hikes.
      ten pesos is better than nothing for minimum wagers.

      25 pesos per day isn’t coins for both the employer and minimum wage earners. That is an additional 750 pesos per month.
      Minimum wage earners don’t get taxed so they take that home without any deductions.
      Now, for the employer, that is an additional 750 pesos PER employee PER month.
