Announced a couple of months back during E3, the WikiPad Gaming tablet is now all set for release by next month and is heading for GameStop with a retail price of $499.
We saw a similar pproach for Android tablet gaming with the Archos GamePad last month. The WikiPad wants it a bit different by separating the gaming controllers with the tablet.
WikiPad Gaming Tablet specs:
10.1†capacitive 720p HD LCD @ 1280×800
Gorilla Glass display
nVidia Tegra 3 T30s, 1.4GHz Quad-core
1GB RAM
16GB internal storage
up to 32GB via microSD
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
8MP rear, autofocus camera
2MP front-facing camera
23.46Whr Li-Po battery
Android 4.1 Jellybean
The tablet is surprisingly thin at only 8.6mm although it still weighs about 560 grams. The built-in Li-Po battery claims to last up to 8 hours of movie playback.
The WikiPad is on pre-order basis for now but is set to be released on GameStop this October 31 for $499.

I wouldn’t mind just getting the controller part. Would this come with stock Jelly Bean?
