The X Premium Plus subscription plan is now ad-free, as seen via a post from the platform below.
The top-tier plan was under scrutiny since Elon Musk’s takeover, as it still flooded users with ads. It was odd, to say the least. Considering it costs USD 16 (~PHP) per month, the new update is a welcome change.
Starting today, those who are shelling out money to use the platform’s perks won’t be subject to ads anymore. The subscription also features the largest reply boost from the platform available.
Users can write and publish text articles directly on X. Plus, direct messages (DMs) are encrypted as well.
This subscription tier offers a ton of other features as well. These include bookmark folders, support for longer posts and videos, and post editing.
X users with this tier can also earn a share of the revenue generated from organic impressions in ads. Of course, this comes from replies to their content.
Users also share revenue from X itself from its most engaged followers through monthly subscriptions. X Premium Plus subscriptions also give early access to Grok AI, X Pro, Analytics, and Media Studio.
Last but certainly not the least, users with this tier get the polarizing blue checkmark next to their username. Share your thoughts about X below!
