Qualcomm is set to unveil its next most powerful flagship chipset yet: the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in its 2023 Snapdragon Summit in Hawaii from October 24 to October 26.
In a bid to be the first to introduce devices powered by this new chipset, Xiaomi reportedly plans to announce the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro flagship smartphones on October 27—immediately a day after the Snapdragon Summit.
These devices will succeed the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro models, which officially debuted in December 2022.
According to earlier leaks, the upcoming Xiaomi 14 Series will include the Xiaomi 14, 14 Pro, and 14 Ultra models.
Only the vanilla and Pro versions will debut this year, while the Ultra model launches next year. This is a pattern we’ve already seen on the Xiaomi 13 Series.
The Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro will feature a revamped design and have model numbers 23127PN0CC and 23116PN5BC, respectively. These models have recently received certifications from 3C and TENAA.
Both devices will come equipped with Leica-tuned cameras that offer three different focal lengths. Rumor has it that the Xiaomi 14 Pro, similar to the iPhone 15 Pro lineup, will boast a titanium frame and satellite connectivity.
These smartphones will come with MIUI 15 running on Android 14, which the brand is likely to unveil alongside the flagship phones.
