Aside from launching its newest flagship, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, Xiaomi also recently unveiled in China a new band smartwatch called the Xiaomi Band 8.
The Band 8 features a 1.62-inch AMOLED screen, an Always-On-Display, and 600 nits of peak brightness. The display has a 60 Hz refresh rate and the whole band has water resistance of up to 50 meters.
The biggest update with the Band 8 is the foregoing of a single strap design, with the Band 8 now offering various straps and lugs for more strap customization. Xiaomi will be selling new strap options that include a metal strap, a leather strap, and a nylon fabric one as well.
As a fitness band, the Band 8 will come with all the usual fitness features such as an Sp02 sensor, a heart-rate monitor, a sleep tracker, and a VO2 Max tool.
Xiaomi says that the Band 8 can last around 16 days of normal use and 6 days with the display always on.
The Xiaomi Band 8 retails in China for CNY 249 or around Php 2,035.10 (direct conversion) and CNY 299 or around Php 2,443.76 (direct conversion) for the NFC variant. No international or Philippine pricing has been released as of today.
