Xiaomi is now entering the virtual reality business with their launch of the Mi VR Standalone. As the name suggests, the device is a standalone VR package with its own processor and built-in games.
The Mi VR Standalone was co-developed by Xiaomi and leading VR company, Oculus. The headset features a Snapdragon 821 processor, 2K fast switch screens, its own remote, a 2,600mAh battery, and over 1000 Oculus optimized games. It comes in two memory configurations, 32GB and 64GB.
The 32GB variant of the Mi VR Standalone is priced at ¥1499 (~Php 12,297), while the bigger 64GB has a price tag of ¥1799 (~Php 14,758). Local pricing and availability are yet to be announced.
