Xiaomi has just announced a fresh update to their widely renowned Mi Band 7 and their wireless earphones, the Redmi Buds 4 and the Redmi Buds 4 Pro.
The Mi Band 7 has been updated to fit an even larger display of 1.62 inches, a slight increase from its predecessors 1.56 inches. With a resolution of 290 x 192 pixels, the Mi Band 7 also bumps up its usable screen space by 25%. The battery will feature a 180 mAh battery that Xiaomi claims can last up to 14 days, as well as charging it back up only takes 2 hours.
One new feature that’s quite neat, is the ability for the Mi Band 7 to now have an always-on display. Other features include an improved oxygen saturation monitor and fitness tracking. The Xiaomi Mi Band 7 goes for CNY 239 in China with details about any release and pricing here in the Philippines yet to be announced.
Xiaomi also unveiled new wireless headphones. The more premium of the bunch being the Redmi Buds 4 Pro. The pro model comes with an intelligent noise reduction system that is claimed to reduce up to 43 dB of noise. They are also IP54 rated to give you peace of mind when you’re working out or when you’re out in the rain.
The Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro combine a 10mm driver and a 6mm tweeter. They also come with Bluetooth 5.3 and can offer 9 hours of playback on a single charge, with the charging case also providing an additional 36 hours. The Redmi Buds 4 Pro is available in White and Black colorways and are priced at CNY 369. Local pricing and availability are yet to be announced.
The more affordable pair of headphones is the Redmi Buds 4. What’s quite cool is that they still offer active noise cancellation, albeit with a lower rating of up to 35 dB. They connect via Bluetooth 5.2 and have a 10mm sound driver on each earbud. The charging case can also provide up 30 hours of charge. The Redmi Buds 4 is priced at CNY 199 with local availability and pricing yet to be announced.
