Along with the new Mi 9 Pro 5G and Mi Mix Alpha, Xiaomi has also introduced its latest Android interface, MIUI 11. Check out the features and upgrade plan below.
Dynamic Font System – With MIUI 11’s new dynamic font system, adjusting the text’s size can now be done seamlessly to match the user’s preference. Bold text will be bolder to further highlight important texts.
Vientiane Screen – MIUI 11 new dynamic screen showcases dynamic or moving screen savers to fit the user’s style. You could also create your own using personalized text to further fit the user’s style.
Breathing Light Effect Notification Alert – Using MIUI11, your screen can now show a breathing light effect so subtly let you know you have a new notification.
Elemental, Dynamic Alarms – Not only do users get new elemental alarm tones (day, night, fire, water, wood, gold, and earth), the sounds are also dynamic – which means they start quietly, increasing in volume until you turn it off. The user may also customize their notification sounds to change during the day, depending on the time. With this feature, they will be releasing bird sounds for daytime and cricket/night worm sounds for the night.
Xiaomi Mutual Transmission – Supported devices of Xiaomi, Oppo, and Vivo may now transfer files with one another in a convenient and quick way. Users could also send files to their laptops similarly.
Super Document – MIUI11 will have a new file management system where all documents can be accessed in one place. Documents will also have custom thumbnails for ease of access. Along with the new file management system, users will also get a professional document viewer that can handle .pdf, .doc, .ppt, and .xls file formats.
All-round Projection – With more than 300 TVs supported, users may now cast documents, videos, apps, and games easily. Users may also choose what they cast so messages and calls are not mirrored on the TV.
Wireless Printing – Wireless printing is now implemented within MIUI so users don’t have to download a separate app for their printer. Currently, Xiaomi said that MIUI11 printing is supported by more than 2,000 printers.
To-do list – With MIUI11 users get a new note system that you can conveniently access with gestures to create, organize, and be reminded of their daily tasks.
Smart Travel – With smart travel, MIUI users can check currency conversion rates, weather data, and make itineraries with ease.
Super Power Saving – MIUI 11 further optimized their power-saving mode to further extend the battery life of user’s devices.
Time Album – MIUI 11’s gallery app now comes with AI to help sort through your photos. Not only does the AI collate photos by time, but it also recognizes similar photos.
