The Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 has just arrived in China yesterday at this year’s Lei Jun Annual Speech. It was revealed along with the Xiaomi MIX Flip as part of the new Xiaomi MIX lineup.
The new foldable has a 6.56-inch FHD+ LTPO AMOLED external display protected by Xiaomi Shield Glass for its cover. It also has a 7.98-inch E7 LTPO AMOLED internal display protected by Ultra Thin Glass.
Both displays have an adaptive refresh rate of 120Hz and 3,000 nits for peak brightness. In addition, the panels are Dolby Vision and HDR10+ certified.
Powering this device is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Storage configurations go up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
Xiaomi even collaborated with Leica to develop a quad-camera setup for the MIX Fold 4 with Summilux lenses.
Optics are headlined by a 50-megapixel Light Fusion 800 main sensor (23mm). The rest include a 50-megapixel floating telephoto lens (47mm), a 12-megapixel ultrawide (15mm), and a 10-megapixel periscope telephoto camera (115m).
The MIX Fold 4 packs a 5,100mAh battery with 67W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging support. Other notable features of the foldable is its T800H carbon fiber internal structure and IPX8 rating.
The internal structure is insanely light, while also offering a 300% improvement in impact resistance compared to its predecessor. The IP rating also makes the device water resistant up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes.
The Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 comes in black, white, and blue color options. Pricing starts at CNY 8,999 (~PHP 72K) for its configuration with 12GB/256GB. It’s also available for CNY 9,999 (~PHP 80K) with 16GB/512GB and CNY 10,999 (~PHP 88K) with 16GB/1TB.
However, readers should take note that global availability has yet to be announced. So, we advise you to stay tuned to see if Xiaomi intends to sell their newest foldable outside of China.
