In a grand finale to its 14 series announcement event, Xiaomi has introduced the Pad 6S Pro 12.4, a revolutionary addition to its pro tablet lineup. The unveiling hints at the possibility of another variant, the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro, featuring a smaller display, potentially 11 inches in size.
Boasting an all-metal design available in three striking colors – black, blue, and green – the tablet weighs in at 590g and is equipped with six speakers, accompanied by Dolby Atmos support for an immersive audio experience. Additionally, the device features four microphones, enhancing its capabilities for voice recognition and communication.
Distinguishing itself from its predecessor, the Pad 6 Pro, the Pad 6S Pro 12.4 flaunts a larger 12.4-inch IPS LCD display with a boxier 3:2 aspect ratio and an impressive 3048x2032px resolution. Despite maintaining the same 144Hz refresh rate, Xiaomi claims a brightness of 900 nits, promising vivid and crisp visuals.

Xiaomi takes pride in the professional color calibration of the Pad 6S Pro 12.4’s display, aligning it with the renowned CIE2015 color curve, consistent with the flagship standards seen across Xiaomi’s TV, laptop, and phone displays. The Gorilla Glass 5 protection ensures durability, while the support for pen input, coupled with differentiated touch sampling rates for fingers and pens, enhances the user experience.
Running on Xiaomi’s customized version of Android 14 – HyperOS, the Pad 6S Pro 12.4 offers optimized multitasking capabilities, with certain apps supporting a triple-screen split feature, labeled as the ‘Workbench’ interface. Moreover, the tablet can be seamlessly integrated with an external monitor or used as a secondary display for Windows laptops, expanding its versatility.

Innovatively, the Pad 6S Pro 12.4 features pogo pins on its back, facilitating magnetic attachment to the Xiaomi SU7 EV, effectively integrating the tablet into the vehicle’s infotainment system.
Under the hood, the tablet is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, accompanied by a choice of 8GB, 12GB, or 16GB of RAM and storage options ranging from 256GB to 1TB. Notably, the device boasts a massive 10,000mAh battery with 120W charging capability, promising a swift 35-minute full charge, with 45% charge achievable in just 10 minutes. To safeguard battery health, Xiaomi has implemented custom P2 and G1 chips.

Completing the package are two accessories – the Smart Touch Keyboard and the Focus Stylus, offering enhanced typing and drawing experiences respectively.
While prices for the Philippine market are yet to be disclosed, anticipation is high for the arrival of the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4, poised to redefine the tablet experience with its array of innovative features and capabilities.
