Acer has finally announced a new ultrabook called the Aspire S 13, replacing the older design of the Aspire S7 from many years ago.
the Aspire S 13 comes with a 13.3-inch full HD display that has an optional touchscreen or non-touch display. Powering the ultrabook are 6th-generation Intel Core i3, i5 or i7 prcoessors with 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of SSD storage.
The device is 14.58mm on the side and just 1.4kg (3.1lbs) in weight, though that means the Aspire S7 is still tinner (12.9mm) and lighter (2.87lbs). perhaps, that’s due to the fact that Acer packed more battery in it (9 hours with standard battery and up to 13 hours when customized).
The Aspire S 13 comes with a USB Type-C port, full szied HDMI and SD card slots.
The laptop will have a starting retail price of $699 (roughly Php32,500) for the base configuration (most like a Core i3, 4GB RAM and 128GB SSD) and maxes out for the Core i7, 8GB RAM and 512GB SSD. Expected release is sometime this May.
they use the lowest possible configuration because they must show how “cheap” the product is.
Eventually, you will select a higher config at a steeper price.
and the sellers here will only have 2 models (i3, 4gb, 128gb) and (i7, 8gb, 512gb) …
why do they insist on having 4gb ram as the base … greedy bastards wouldn’t cost them that much to give it 8gb ram as standard …
Cost implications.
