Acer Iconia B1 spotted, sells for Php12,000

Went around SM Cyberzone in Megamall this afternoon and spotted Acer’s new Jellybean tablet. This could be the Acer Iconia B1 Jellybean tablet which was supposed to retail for only $99PHP 5,810INR 8,390EUR 94CNY 721 in the US but then re-priced to $150PHP 8,803INR 12,712EUR 143CNY 1,092 by Acer during CES 2013.

We think that this is just a parallel import and not really the official release of Acer in the country, thus the discrepancy in the pricing.

The Jellybean tablet has a 7-inch display (1024×600 pixels), Mediatek 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 512MB RAM, 8GB internal storage, up to 32Gb via microSD card, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS.

We only spotted this in one store and only about 2 units were available. The Iconia B1 is supposed to be Acer’s answer to the affordable Nexus 7 (selling at Php13,995USD 238INR 20,217EUR 227CNY 1,737). At Php12k, it doesn’t seem that attractive but if they follow the $150PHP 8,803INR 12,712EUR 143CNY 1,092 price tag (under Php6,200USD 106INR 8,957EUR 101CNY 769) then that’s another story altogether.

sure akong flop ito. kasi yung galaxy tab 2 7.0 ay 9k nalang at yung nexus 7 na may quadcore CPU, 13k lang. goodluck nalang sa acer philippines parang walang bibili nito

sir Abe, wlang wala to sa ramos w30. Sana ma review nyo din tong 10.1 inch quadcore tablet. Available sya sa Novotech for 12K.Sa StarMall meron nito.

512MB lang ang RAM, 8GB lang ang internal storage, then according to this site: http://www.techradar.com/news/mobile-computing/tablets/acer-iconia-launched-as-7-inch-super-cheap-tablet-1121208 2710mAh lang ang battery, tapos Php13,995? Okay rin ang Acer ano? Kung makaka denggoy nga naman, why not?
