Acer’s 10-inch tablet has just became official (dubbed the Acer Iconia Tab A500) at the opening of CES 2011 and it’s a powerful Android tablet with a Honeycomb and Tegra 2 combo.
Acer Iconia Tab A500
10.1″ capacitive display @ 1280×800 pixels
NVidia Tegra 2 1GHz dual-core processor
HDMI port (1080p output)
Android 3.0 Honeycomb
Acer UI 4.5
The Iconia Tab also comes with 4G module for Verizon’s LTE network but my guess is that it will be using a regular 3G module once the international version comes out. Will post more details and photos once they come out.

Wait teka lang! Dell, Acer, HP, and lenovo?. Are those the PC makers that said last year na hype lang yung ipad and no one will use it, kasi daw may netbook na, Ehh bakit nag papabongahan pa sila ng pag labas ng mga so vcalled “Pad or Tab” products nila sa CES. Typical of us humans talaga we become arrogant and eat our own words at the end.

@Messie
yes, but still not optimized for a tablet, hence the wait for 3.0
Messie says:
Windows 7 sucks on a tablet. Recommended specs for Windows 7 home is way higher than the current specs of today’s tabs. With the exception of that Asus tab of course coming out with desktop specs on a tablet portability. Thus, being dubbed as the most powerful tablet that we have now.
Anyway, however you place it, parang pilit ang dating when they port out the windows 7 to tablets. Di tulad ng Android, na on the get-go palang, it was designed to be used on portable touch screen devices.

@Bryan and @jon I’m just a rookie in gadgets please forgive my questions sometime.hehe I’m just curious to know if it would really be possible because I heard in some forums they did try installing iOS on an android Tablet.hehe. .
Jean Paul says:
The specs are very nice but real performance will hinge on the software & the apps which to my mind Apple’s Ipad has a very big advantage.

Such a screen real estate is best utilized by a full pc os like windows 7. Android for me is still a mobile os. Whether optimized or not, i think 7 inch would suffice. If this 10-inch android has telephony (as prescribed by Market),now this one i call absurd.
Jon says:
Wow. Great resolution. Ang taas. The only possible issue would be battery life. A huge screen with a high resolution, not to mention a dual-core processor could zap a battery dry instantly.
@Nemo Why the hell would you want iOS on a tablet anyway? Even if it were possible, it would not make any sense.
Bryan says:
@Nem0ry: If you meant installing iOS on android tablets, no, I don’t think that’s currently possible.
Plus, I don’t think anyone would do that. The current iOS4 would suck on an android tablet because it lacks a lot of drivers necessary to run the peripherals. The WiFi would be your first problem.
NemOry says:
Ang ganda ng design, umuuso na dual core processor sa mga tablets.
@All, can an android powered tablet be installed for an iOS? Is it possible?
