Aspire S3 with Core i3 & 500GB HDD appears in stores

One of the newer configurations of the Acer Aspire S3 is this fairly affordable ultrabook being priced at Php39,990 — the first one to break the Php40k price barrier.

The Aspire S3 was challenged by Samsung’s Series 5 ultrabook in the Php40k+ price range so this move might have been done to further separate itself from the pack.

Suggested retail price is Php39,900 and comes with a free external DVD-Writer. Had Acer introduced this earlier (as in last year), they would have made a bigger splash in this hotly contested ultrabook category wchih a lot of people look up to as a very expensive breed of laptops.

sir abe, sana makapag sulat kayo ng article updating us sa current status ng ultrabook market in The Philippines, comparing price, specs(not just internal, but also the the external e.g. from thinnest to thickest or other unique spec that a particular ultrabook possesses), and some suggestion you might want to add :D thanks in advance :P looking forward HAHAHAHAHA

Im going to wait for Ivy Bridge, for the cost of this you will be able to purchase a macbook with ivy bridge and intel 4000 graphics soon
