Asus has been a trusted brand in my office, owning an Asus EEEPC1000H for almost for years and still working show reliability. Hope Asus will make their reliable units affordable to many consumers.

  8. makmak says:

  9. Megatron says:

Wait nyo na lang yung the more powerful tablet, the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime. Specs nya ay running under Nvidia Tegra 3 Quad Core Processor and Android 4.0 (aka Ice Cream Sandwich)!!! International launching date sa market around this coming Nov. 9.

  10. roselyn says:

the tab is 22,488, with keyboard its 28,488, i’ve already see displays at asus..i really want one..hoping this coming december it would be on sale..

  11. michele bermudo says:

pls. email me how much n ito ngayon? and how to avail. thanks

  12. daniel macalino says:

Hello yuga. I want one and I want one now. Where can I buy it is it here already? thanks

  13. yumax_phl says:

Too expensive! It’s only $350 dollars in the U.S. plus tax…but they’re selling the 16gb model here for the 32gb price. It’s supposed to be a full hundred dollars cheaper than the base model of iPad2. Fail! Waiting for the Galaxy Tab 10.1! Go Samsung!!!

    • Lorie says:

I checked Amazon, and they sell the 32GB for $499. With the discount, it’s only $489. If you add the docking keyboard of $149, the difference between the Philippine price would only be $50 to $60. It would take around $50 to $100 to ship that to the Philippines, right? So the price difference is actually negligible. That is, if the price Yuga quoted here was for the 32GB model.

  14. aaron says:

i think 3g will come for eepad next gen im not pretty sure but hope it is

  15. loveme.ph says:

Called Asusworld and i don’t think meron silang 32gb with dock nun eeePad Transformer. Yun pa naman ang gusto ko.

    • Jepotski says:

Sir ilang days ang inabot bago dumating yung unit? So in total 21k inabot? Mas mura ba siya sa price ng local ASUS if nag official release na sila? Thanks.

    • Irwin says:

Oops, this was supposed to be a reply to Jepotki’s comment before this :\

  16. Ty says:

Ive seen one unit sa MOA…
    Infomax yung name nung shop..

    • Jepotski says:

@Irwin saang website mo nabili? Android 3.1 na ba yung OS niya, 32GB? with Dock? Thanks.

    • Irwin says:

DON’T BUY FROM THEM! Their branch in trinoma was selling the tablet only for 36k!!!! To put that into perspective, I got my unit online for 19k + 3k shipping.

    • Jepotski says:

      How much nila binebenta?

  17. curious says:

pwede bang gamitan ng smart bro plug it yan pra mka pag internet? hndi po kasi ako familiar niyan. salamat po.

  18. cooldoods says:

This is supposed to be only $399 but they price it at $530 here? sayang, they could have captured the local tablet market. Anyway, I’m waiting for the quad-core tablets. Has anyone seen the GlowBall demo on nVidia Tegra 3 a.k.a Kal-El?

    • Jepotski says:

Thanks for the info, planning to buy na sana pero I will wait for the 3G enabled. Sana umabot sa ng maaga..

  19. Ry says:

I hope this one comes out soon. I want to have this for the coming school year :(

  20. TechLinking says:

Asus Eee Pad is the best. I love it, I will get one when I have money :D

  21. Edwin C says:

Yuga, is there an option wherein I can buy only the Transformer not including the dock and keyboard? If so, how much will it cost?

    • Edwin C says:

Okey, sorry, hinde ko nabasa ‘yong sa ilalim ng video. Alam ko na price. Wag na kayong mag-reply.

  22. Bullet says:

May I also request for a comparative review of the Acer Ferrari as against the Asus Tab in terms of speed and convenience?

  23. Bullet says:

I’m sorry, it’s actually the ASUS Eee Pad that I am referring to, not the T101MT

  24. Bullet says:

will you also review the ASUS Eee PC T101MT?My acer ferrari laptop costs even more than this new tablet and I think this Asus tablet will be more convenient to bring when travelling…I’m a bit concerned with the speed/processor of the tablet.

  25. Anti RH Bill says:

Ipad 2 is still the best tablet in the market!!!!!

    • Edwin C says:

iPad 2 is a toy. Transformer is a tool.

    • rotero says:

      correct!!!!!!

  26. InvestPhil says:

this is cool unfortunately, I already bought a Lenovo netbook…yung netbook na tablet in 1….

  27. Glen says:

Does anyone know if Php22,995 is for the 16GB or 32GB model? Also how much is the keyboard dock?

    • Ry says:

      16 GB I believe :)

  28. seanie says:

Should I get this or a Galaxy S2? I know they’re not exactly the same but for less money, it seems like I’m getting more.

  29. Senio says:

I like to see the Asus Eee Slate first before I buy one.

  30. stupid says:

this is a stupid. There is no 3G!! You got docking station which doubles as extra battery but you can’t be online anywhere you go.

    • Ry says:

Well, since it has a keyboard and a dock which can lengthen battery hours, I believe this product justified its price….

devices with 3G capabilities is usually 4-5K more than those with the WiFi only versions. I suggest buying a Wifi router like that of Huawei (Which is offered in Yugadeals a few weeks ago) it will save you a huge chunk of your earnings and will be happy to buy WiFi only products :)

    • Wakocoke says:

tether from your phone? mifi? my god there are lots of ways

    • stupid says:

see, I know somebody stupid will reply with a stupid suggestion. Why do you need a separate 3g device? that is cumbersome and unstable! Imagine having to operate 2 devices whenever you have to surf the net instead of just one??? Do you know buy gadgets to make live complex or easy?

  31. Chris says:

Sir Abe. Do you have ETA when will it arrive on local retail stores?

    • Jepotski says:

ASUS said it will be available on July 2011

    • Ry says:

Ang tagal naman… They should’ve released this now

  32. Ry says:

Okay I AM REALLY CONFUSED!! Di ko na alam kung which one os best, 2nd Gen Galaxy Tabs or this one. I plan to buy the Galaxy Tab 10.1 kasi, pero parang mas maganda toh….

    • yumax_phl says:

so far, halos pareho lang ang specs ng lahat ng Android Honeycomb tablets. Tegra 2 processor with 1GB RAM. Galaxy Tab 10.1 mas manipis, even thinner than the iPad2. The transformer’s main advantage is the it has a lot of USB connectivity options, especially with the keyboard dock (yes, including an external hard drive or a USB card reader for your SLR photos). You can then do some Express Photoshop on your Transformer before uploading your pics! more info on the transformer — http://goo.gl/p0gtS

    • Ry says:

Do you know kung saan nagkakatalo yung dalawa in terms of Specs? Kasi ang nakikita ko lang na laman ng Tab is its PLS Screen over LED ng Asus….

    • Jepotski says:

Yung sa Galaxy Tab, 8MP yung rear camera, 2MP yung front, 3G capable, mas magaan, mas manipis. so far yan pa lang napapansin ko na differences.

    • Ry says:

I think you are talking about the 10.1v… maganda rin iyan kaso the major fall back is walang SD slot :( and it still uses TFT screen. Yung bago kasi PLS na, may SD slot, mas manipis, although 3MP na lang yung rear cam instead of 8….

pero Asus I guess wins this game kung mas mamahal pa ang Samsung sa 30k

  33. Jayson says:

    Sayang, not 3G capable..

  34. Ced says:

FAIL. Tablet with no support for GSM voice communication, SMS, and MMS.

  35. jdGONEMAD says:

    “1GB memory”
    – expandable ba?

    “16GB and 32GB internal storage”
    – 2 HD?

  36. Neil says:

Does it come with the girl?

  37. jugs says:

how much do both the tablet and the docking station weigh altogether? thanks!

  38. marvin says:

Kelan ba makakabili nito sa ph. May stock na ba? Nd kasi namention sa article.

  39. scandid says:

With all the quality apps, itunes, podcast,.. i would still go for Ipad2.

    • ernest says:

Tsk tsk tsk what’s so great about it? Being limited to itunes for file transfer and other things? While I can easily transfer my mp3s. Quality apps–taken from the net without even experiencing it? Napaka almost negligible ng quality apps from appstore vs sa android market…podcast–hehehe napaka laughable ng reasons mo just like your ipad.

At don’t you find it irritating playing games then some sends you texted you and you need to quit the app before you can see it? Freedom, convenience practicality–welcome to the non-Apple world

    • yumax_phl says:

that’s probably because you haven’t tried living a tablet or smartphone life without iTunes. Being able to download and manage apps without wires, using any computers with internet access and not limited to the computer your iDevice is synced to! Anyway, aesthetics wise iPad2 is definitely better than the transformer. But, this tablet can host your USB devices, download pics from your SLR and upload to facebook or twitter without your PC. That’s just one of the many things it can do than playing your Stretched Angry birds and pixelated facebook app on your iPad.

    • Wakocoke says:

quality fart apps my ass :)) another iSheep, going to worship whatever Steve Jobs sells. i guess miski iShit bibilhin nyo hahaha

    • Anti RH BILL says:

Yup Ipad 2 is the Best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • ry says:

Trying to justify buying an overpriced and underwhelming product? iNagkamali

  40. William T says:

Anyone knows whether the Transformer will have Gorilla Glass?

  41. eLx says:

Is the Php21,999 16GB wifi model?

  42. Messie says:

This or the galaxy tab 10.1? They would probably come in the same price (tablet only) specs and portability advantage goes to Sammy while the keyboard dock option is an advantage to the trann.. *ahem* transformer. =D

I can’t wait for the 2nd ed galaxy tabs so that we can finally have a royal rumble of dual core tablets accessible here in our country!

  43. KiRA says:

Question: I know this may be a noob question pero hindi ko ata nakita ang wifi sa specs, does it have wifi?

  44. Jason says:

Good luck looking for units. I just checked Taiwan where it’s made and they didn’t even deliver stocks to local stores.

  45. 21 says:

    Ganda nung babae! hehe

    • Edwin C says:

      Baboy.

  46. 21 says:

that’s already a big deal. considering Samsung Tab is much expensive.

    who will buy?

    • Ry says:

      Me

  47. Abe Olandres says:

Hi guys! i updated the post to include the SRP of the Eee Pad alone and the Transformer.

  48. nameless says:

I prefer this one over Ipad! tablet with some computing capability! plus it’s not limited by apple, and with added memory expansion slot.

The problem is that, i don’t see any use for it now yet.

  49. Jack R says:

I thought the selling point of this tablet is it’s price ($399). Why so expensive here?

    • sylv3rblade says:

      Taxes likely.

    • Marc says:

Taxes most definitely. In the US the list price does not include vat. Here, list price must include vat. So the REAL price of the transformer is actually PHP 19641.97 or 456 USD.

Before you rush over to Forex or Johnny Air to order your tablet, consider that the shipping costs to the Philippines will probably cost you around 56 dollars anyway… plus you run the risk of damage, etc etc.

Returning relatives who can bring it for you for free is probably the best way to save your 56 USD.

    • Irwin says:

Now that you’ve mentioned Johnny Air, have you tried ordering the Eee Pad Transformer online and sent here to the PH via JAC? Is that $56 the shipping cost of JAC for the Eee Pad, or just your estimate?

Just curious since I’ll be doing the same thing. Thanks.

  50. Ian says:

I still go with iPad2 pero lamang lang ito sa camera quality.

  51. Eason says:

Try uploading an email using an Ipad if you can.

For its price point of 30k I think its already has the Keyboard dock. But if its 22k without the keyboard then its a good bite against the ipad.

The ipad 2 may be 1/2 thinner than the EEE Transformer but remember that this has

    5MP REAR Camera [HD Recording]
    Front Camera
    HDMI OUT
and expandable MICRO SD card slot.

  52. guyrony says:

WHAT? Are you kidding me? nearly 30k that’s supposed to be priced just under 25k? preposterous. Time to call relatives abroad.

    • name says:

as i’ve said, 30k is with the dock that could extend your battery life to up to 6 hours.

    • Johnrey16 says:

I love eepad transformer pero maraming quality issues such as light bleeding, Sleep of Death (SOD), half baked na O.S., Faulty Camera and Video recording and only about hundreds of apps available in the market.I think, 30k is just way up too expensive for a tablet with a dock IMHO. But still, If they’ll fix it, I’ll surely buy this beast. The best lang ang IPAD kung naka Jailbreak! XD

  53. Jam. says:

if wakocoke was correct then I might choose this one over the iPad 2…if i had that 22k bucks

  54. eLx says:

    @Wakocoke
If that is true, I might get this over iPad2

  55. Anti-RH BILL says:

    Ipad 2 is the best!!!!!!!!!

    • Jologs says:

I’m an iPad fan myself but PLEASE STOP TROLLING!!! Aaaaargh, I REALLY hate people who are like this!

    • Eingild says:

Definitely a troll. Don’t waste time replying to this post which I regretfully did.

    • Fleeb says:

Have you tried both so to conclude why one is better than something? Pros and cons? Selling points? Etc?

(Similarly but OT: which provisions of the RH bill you do not like, or you want to change and to what and why? Point being, it’s easy to dismiss something by simply posting a comment than to post an in-depth review.)

  56. Jang says:

is that 30k with or without the keyboard dock? 16gb or 32gb?

still expensive though, since the neo omnipad is only 16k with the same tegra 2 but with some inferior specs compared to the transformer..

@Wakocoke kung 22k pwede na cguro

  57. jangelo says:

Does the price include the docking station? I believe the dock extends battery life by 2x.

  58. Bern says:

Pricy but nice and good option though

    • name says:

don’t you read? Yuga said that it’s available for 21,999, that’s if you just want the tab. and 30k is the price when you want to add productivity with your keyboard dock. keep your comments right. ok?

    • Wakocoke says:

he updated the price because i provided the link you moron

    • dave says:

      then yugatech shudve thanked u..

    • Anony says:

      lol
