ASUS RoG G750 gaming laptop now available locally

This awesome gaming laptop is powered by the latest Intel Core processor and is backed by 8GB RAM and an NVidia GTX 765M GPU for added boost in the graphics side. It also has a 1TB worth of storage, but unfortunately it’s only HDD, and at this price point, I’d expect at least a hybrid setup.

2.4GHz Intel® Core™ i7-4700HQ

DVD Super-Multi /Blu-ray combo/Blu-ray writer
HD Camera with array microphone
2-in-1 card reader
RJ-45

Amazing how some are so closed minded! I have a gaming rig back home and use a rog laptop while travelling the globe. It isn’t for people that never leave their house or city! Duhhh. Think outside your condo

back to topic pls.. I’m currently looking for a gaming laptop, how would you rate the specs above(proc speed, gpu, ram, battery life)tbs? to the experts ofcourse

  4. Avatar for Dave Dave says:

I agree.. it doesn’t necessarily means that we buy expensive gaming laptop just for games. My rog laptop sometime even better than the hp z800 workstation that I am using at work..

Nice high-end model, but I just wish that this went beyond 1080 display resolution. If the smartphones and tablets could do it, they should too.

    • Avatar for Rick Rick says:

I don’t think its necessary right now for that since game developers are needed to adjust to the higher resolutions and developing games takes years for a good one.

So I think 1920×1080 will still be the standard for another year before the beyond FHD shows up full in gaming or even flagship notebooks

Halatang walang pambili? :)

    • Avatar for manuel89 manuel89 says:

  9. Avatar for manuel manuel says:

Portable gaming is never IDEAL. But the ability to carry your entire gear that’s below 6 kilos in a backpack to go to a LAN party or abroad and be able to play your games in full aspect ratio.

Also, the comparo of a Desktop and Laptop is a whole different debate. Apples vs Oranges debates never ended well. Yes both are fruits but have their differences.

  11. Avatar for abuzalzal abuzalzal says:

And yet you can customize a more powerful crossfire gaming rig for half the asking price of that thing

portability my A-s-s…Notebooks aren’t build for long hours of gaming, why would you want to play a GPU-intensive game with the power chord plugged out of the wall socket?

    • Avatar for Windows iDroid Windows iDroid says:

Un nga eh tsaka bat laptop sana desktop nlng kahit 50k p yan ok lng pero sana desktop nlng.

    • Avatar for abuzalzal abuzalzal says:

…and anyone fancy-ing an expensive gaming laptop ”just” for the portability factor alone are fooling themselves

Like what I have said, kelangan naka-plug yan palagi to ensure a hiccup-free gaming experience, which completely invalidates its advantage, hehe, laptop nga pero naka plug naman.

    • Avatar for grayscale grayscale says:

I think you should clear up how you define “portable”. Portable does not mean that it should work for long hours without plugging it in the wall socket. A desktop rig has to be plugged in but is it PORTABLE?

    • Avatar for abuzalzal abuzalzal says:

My whole point, gaming laptops doesn’t make any sense, theres a niche market to it, catering the rich dumb kids. Or unless spending your fortune justifies it kase na bubuhat mo ang laptop from your bedroom to your balcony

    • Avatar for abutikol abutikol says:

STFU. naaasar ka lang sa mga gaming notebooks kasi para nilang sinasabi sayo na wala kang pambili. those people who buy gaming laptops are those people who need a computer eveytime they move place by place.

would you bring a desktop if for example, you’re living in a dorm where space is an issue?

and when we talk about being portable, it’s not all about being able to use it while you’re walking, idiot! being portable is all about being able to bring it into place where you need it. it seems that you don’t know that most people who buy gaming laptops use it for lan parties, doing intensive video editing stuff and much more. it’s not for you so please shut up and enjoy playing games on that trash-worthy tablet of yours. not everyone has a strength to carry a desktop whenever they go and that’s where the gaming laptops come in. yes, they’re heavier than a conventional laptop but still a million times more portable than a desktop.

      p.s. i’m a proud asus g46vw owner.

    • Avatar for Matthew Ames Matthew Ames says:

I agree with @abutikol’s point regarding how portable gaming laptops are compared to a full-blown desktop. I’m a photo and video editor working for a company (sorry, can’t name it). There’s really a time when we need to move place by place and I believe it’s during a wedding at we’re all tasked to do some video editing from the ongoing wedding down to the reception area. Heck, moving from place to place isn’t ideal with this kind of setup and that’s where my personal gaming notebook came to the rescue. While most of my colleagues are having a bit of a hard time editing video on the company-issued standard laptops, I’m having a breeze on working on my gaming laptop. Gaming laptops are a heaven-sent for those people who require a lot of horsepower that can be easily carried on a backpack. And yes, gaming laptops are expensive but you’ll sometimes realize it’s a lifesaver when you need to have a setup that can be easily carried on the go and carrying it on places where space is an issue.

Sorry for you abuzalzal, looks like napaka babae ng logic mo. Hindi porket sinabing gaming laptop eh pang gaming lang, professionals use gaming laptop as a work computer as well, too bad hindi mo alam yun.

Then go bring your Desktop, Monitor, Speaker, Keyboard, Mouse and AVR wherever you want to play.

I’ll simply bring my notebook, plus my notebook is 3D already, yours? I don’t think so…. Plus my notebook is a HEAD TURNER and yours?

If you want to put it on a comedy side…ako parin unang makakaalis pag bumaha bahay natin kasi PORTABLE gaming laptop ko.

hating people without any valid reason is a sign of an imminent mental disorder. you’ve spoken like a true psycho, abuzalzal.

when i went here, i just want to talk about the laptop itself but the whole comment board is destroyed all thanks to abuzalzal’s comment and disturbing inner thoughts that has really nothing to do with the article. and then came the karma.

protability has already been defended here. pero gusto ko pa dagdagan? wtf @abuzalzal?? ano meaning ng portability sayo? my main province is in Isabela, i’m renting an apartment here in Q.C. atleast 2x a month i go abroad for some work. Please tell me how will you bring your so called better desktop? siguro you need to try going out your room and try to experience the outside world. parang dyan malalaman mo ang portability.
