Those looking for laptops under Php 30,000 are sort of in a tough spot.
For this amount of money, we’re expecting more than just basic performance and useability. At the same time, it’s still not going to give you all of the creature comforts and raw horsepower that you get with a higher budget.
That’s why in this article, we’ve gone ahead and gathered a few of what we think are the best budget laptops under or around Php 30,000. While compromises like less color-accurate displays or lower RAM capacity are inevitable, we think that the overall package you get with these laptops will be more than enough for casual users’ needs.
As a disclaimer, the laptops listed here were all around or under our Php 30k range at the time of writing. Be that as the suggested retail price (SRP) or a sales price — take note that prices here may vary as time goes on.
With that, it’s time to check out the best budget laptops under Php 30,000 (for the first half of 2023)!
Table of Contents
First on our list is the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 (15ITL05). It features a 15.6-inch display, an 11th Gen Intel Core i3-1115G1 chip, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal SSD capacity.
What we like about the IdeaPad 3 is the tried and tested design it carries that has become a staple in this budget laptop range. It also features a relatively zippy i3 processor and a touchscreen — which is a nice addition at this price.
What might sway you against this laptop is the fact that it only comes with 256GB of internal storage out of the box. But if you’re only going to use it for casual use, this IdeaPad 3 is a really good value for the price you pay for it.
Price: around Php 26,995
Next up is the ASUS VivoBook 15 F515. It has relatively the same specs as the IdeaPad, coming with a 15.6-inch screen, an 11th Gen Intel i3-1115G4, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal SSD storage.
This VivoBook has a nifty fingerprint sensor on the trackpad, a minimalist gray design, and an included numpad.
While the VivoBook 15 F515 does come with Windows 11, it’s Windows 11 Home in S mode. This means that you can only download programs from the Microsoft 166 Store unless you turn S mode off. That’s a relatively easy process but it is still a bit of a hassle to have to switch S mode off.
Price: around Php 26,995
We then have the MSI 58 Modern 14 C11M-080PH. It features a 14-inch display, an 11th Gen Intel Core i3-1115G4 processor, 8GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD.
With this MSI Modern 14, you get a compact and sleek design, keyboard backlighting, and a light 1.4 kg weight that’s going to be great for those who frequently use their laptops on-the-go.
Some online reviews, however, have noted that this Modern 14 model gets sub-par battery life (around 2-3 hours) but that’s the sort of compromise you encounter at this price range.
Price: around Php 26,999
Moving up a bit in price we get the HUAWEI MateBook D 15 2021. With this D 15, you get a 15.6-inch display, an 11th Gen Intel Core i3, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal SSD storage.
Some pros of the D 15 2021 is its aluminum alloy build, a USB-C charging port and brick (a personal favorite of mine), and a fingerprint sensor on the power button. We also like the pretty thin bezels that you get with the D 15 given that the webcam is placed underneath one of the keyboard keys.
That webcam placement, of course, may serve as a downside for some as it makes it hard for users to adjust the camera angle given its fixed placement. So frequent webcam users should be aware of this quirk from the D 15.
Price – around Php 28,999
Next, we have the RedmiBook 15 which comes with a 15.6-inch screen, an 11th Gen Intel Core i5-11300H, 8GB of RAM, and 512GB of SSD storage.
The biggest feature of the RedmiBook 15 is its Intel Core i5-11300H — a High-Performance chip that is normally seen in entry-level gaming laptops. This offers a really smooth and fast experience for both productivity and everyday use.
Unfortunately, Redmi chose the display to cut costs here as the 15.6-inch screen offers less accurate colors and subpar viewing angles. So if you’re planning on purchasing the RedmiBook 15, having a more color-accurate external display might be a good idea.
Price: around Php 28,999 – 32,299
We now have an offering from Acer with its Acer Aspire 3 A315-58. It has a 15.6-inch screen, an Intel Core i3-1115G4 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 512GB of internal SSD storage.
Our favorite part of this laptop is its upgradeability. You can upgrade both the 8GB of RAM (upgradeable up to 16GB of dual channel memory) and the 512GB NVMe SSD (which you can bolster with an additional HDD).
You also get a really good keyboard and trackpad with the Aspire 3. The build is still made of plastic but the Aspire 3 series has become a go-to choice for many users given the excellent value proposition (which we agree with).
Price: around Php 30,579
Last, but certainly not least, is the Infinix INbook X1 Pro. With the X1 Pro you get a 14-inch display, a 10th Gen Intel Core i7-1065G7 processor, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of SSD storage.
It is the only laptop on this list that has an i7 processor, but do take note that it is a 10th gen chip and not an 11th gen one. Despite that, you get really good performance from the INbook X1 Pro.
You also get a really good screen on the INbook. It is both bright and color-accurate, making it a good option for those who need a laptop for graphic design or photo work.
The one con (which may actually be a pro) we can think of from the INbook X1 Pro is the fact that Infinix itself is relatively new in the laptop space so the jury is still out in terms of reliability.
However, looking at the laptop itself, the INbook X1 Pro offers an amazing package for its price.
Price: around Php 30,999
