First time I saw the unit at a Compex store, I thought it was an MSI X-Slim X320 but then the price tag of Php16,500USD 281INR 23,836EUR 268CNY 2,048 is almost unbelievable. Turns out is a nice 12″ imitation of the X-Slim called the CNEG 1200.
I even think it’s made from the same parts (or factory) as the ones made by MSI.
CNEG 1200
Intel Atom N280 1.60GHz
12.1″ display screen
1GB DDR2 Memory
160GB SATA HDD
Intel GMA950 Graphics
Intel GSE945 Chipset
0.3MP webcam
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
10/100Mbps LAN
Not sure what the resolution of that 12.1″ screen is but I think should be at least 1024×768 pixels. The unit does not have a pre-installed operating system too but with a Php16,500USD 281INR 23,836EUR 268CNY 2,048 cash price, it’s intriguingly a nice deal.

Question: Is this unit durable enough.. baka naman sirain..
cris says:
I noticed that you have that “eye” for spotting price-friendly gadgets. Nice post there.
But as always, caveat emptor.

Cheapest 12 inches netbook out there… Great find sir yuga. Now i know what to buy for my daughter… Kuripot ni daddy! He he he…
But, like the others, I would still be waiting for some reviews of this unit before getting one.
noe says:
hmmm… quite a price, with all the spec and everything except for the brand name! it may surely flood the market
daddy joey says:

You guys will be amazed at the amount of the 10.1″ version of this netbook. Go see eonzerimar’s link. (The link’s three posts above this one…)

san ba to gawa? ok ang specs at presyo
Boo says:
Mukhang good buy nga pero guys, you’ll have to see this gadget in person. Ang pangit kasi nung build, very cheap plastic plus the top shell has this big CNEG logo that destroys all sense of aesthetics.
It looks and feels cheap.
MB says:
hmmmm. i bet its a china made netbook.
Jiro Yan says:
i want this one as my 2nd laptop..
kevinn says:
If this is the same thing as the MSI, it’ll have the same shoddy/thin plastic construction.
Lumulubog daw yung middle with slight pressure*
tin says:
hello
i bought this netbook a week ago dapat msi 230 bibilhin ko kaso wala stocks nhirapan ako maghanap ito ung nkita ko so far it’s good and worth 16k cash only pag card 19k.this is my 2nd laptop it is taiwan made and very handy. matagal din maubos ung battery nya i think 2 to 3 hrs d kagaya sa hp pavilion laptop ko huhuhu at hindi sya katulad sa hp na grabe kung uminit ito kahit whole day gamitin. may masliit pa nga d2 pero may mas maganda to. i just finish installing my anti virus hehehe
solarisdreams says:
frankly I would just get the 13.3″ instead.

12″ is neither here nor there. and the 13″ has a chiclet keyboard which I like. crammed keyboards are not desirable.
Karen says:
just bought it and so far so good..the slim and matte finish makes it look classy compared to other well known brands–of coure Im only talking about those which are in its same price range. Disregard the expensive ones, xmpre no brainer mas ok ang aesthetics non. But for budget constraint people but still would like to look stylish and consider function..this is a way to go! :-)

I bought this very same laptop about 3months ago…
and now, I’m rally looking forward for its warranty.
At first it’s kind of good and stylish and have good specs…but the hardware won’t last long. O_O
Right now, even though I haven’t dropped this thing or whatever, the cpu fan’s now kinda noisy, it heats up so fast, the battery (which is supposed to last for about 2hrs) now lasts only less than an hour (grrr) and the LCD casing kinda broke. O_O
I really hope to have a replacement for this unit or even just a repair for the nasty stuffs. I still have the 1 year warranty.
