Dell outs a 2-in-1 convertible PC that seems to battle the Microsoft Surface Book but theirs has a unique feature under its sleeves — wireless charging.
The Dell Latitude 7285 is a business-first notebook from Dell. It uses the WiTricity magnetic resonance wireless charging technology and it works how smartphones charge wirelessly. With the proper keyboard dock and charging mat, simply place the Latitude 7285 on the mat and it will be refueled.
Speaking of keyboard docks, there will be 2 types available: one meant for extra portability and the other providing more key travel. Dell promises 6 hours of battery life in tablet mode, or up to 9 hours when attached to the keyboard.
Dell Latitude 7285 key specs:
12-inch IGZO touch display @ 2880 x 1920 pixels
7th-gen Intel Kaby Lake processor
Up to 16GB RAM
Up to 512GB SSD
MicroSD card slot
Infrared camera w/ Windows Hello
Availability will start in May and Dell will announce the pricing sometime before its release.
