RIM Philippines is offering BlackBerry customers to get the BB Playbook this Christmas by offering a discount of up to Php8,600 on any variant of the 7-inch tablet.
For every BlackBerry handset you buy between now and December 31, 2011, you can get a voucher for Php8,600.
The Php8,600 discount can then be used to purchase a BlackBerry Playbook of any variant (I guess from the SRP). This promo is available on any open channels (official retail stores) until December 31, 2011.

Num Lock says:
playbook 32gb at 13t only in UAE :), 9600 pesos for 16gb. Bilhin ko na ba ito over ipad and new samsung 7 inches (with sim)? Sa facebook at surfing ko lang gamitin naman at view and edit word and excel files?
Edwin C says:
Hoy, hoy, hoy! Pamigay n’yo na lang ‘to. Dami pala stocks n’yo na di nabenta.
BestBuy says:
This promo spells S-U-C-K-S.
Why?
Because prices in other countries already been cut down. I think only here in the Philippines, Blackberry is being sold for unreasonable price of Php25,000-28,000($599-699) for the 16GB wifi.
Well, il be getting my 32GB BlackBerry tablet in the U.S. this X-mas for just $249(11,500) tax included. To hell with this promo!
No smart people would be fooled by this kind of promo. Next year expect the Apple Ipad 2 to be sold for just $399.
Ice says:
In US and Canada they put it on sale around $199 for the 64gb variant. sold out! They should do the same hehehe
bbstore says:

I know the truth says:
Another Lame Promotion and Old School Marketing Strategies by BlackBerry Philippines marketing company. Why Lame?
1. The Blackberry tablet in other countries are decreasing its sale because it can’t beat the sales of the Apple Ipad2 and is competing with the others tablet company that why from a retail price of $499 for a 16GB Wifi, it cut down to $199(Php8,800) at Bestbuy and $299(Php13,200) at Walmart. Thats why the price of the Blackberry tablet in the Philippines is very unreasonable and uncompetative and should have lower its price. But because people here in the Phil are much greedy. They still sell it at a higher price but with a lame promotion.
Ice says:
yeah the price is very unreasonable. In fact BB is losing money because of the playbook. I’ve read that RIM still have a lot of these in stock and they want to dispose it hence, the price reduction.
tbor says:
I agree sir. Ithink its because they still have a good market in the philippines… or at least that’s what they think.
tbor says:
wow. BB is really going down. feels like its only strong here in PH and Indonesia.
je says:
Got my bb 9360 last week. Grrr… Indeed, bad battery life. But the phone is ok. Wish I have a discount for playbook. The bridge is great.
Paul says:
Planning to get the 9360, this is a good deal. I just want to ask sir Abe, i hear that the 9360 has a bad battery life. And what is the latest official update for this phone?
Kyle says:
Meh. Just ask a loved one in the USA to buy you a BB Playbook. It’s down to $199 in some stores there.
GrewSober says:
This is unfair, I got my BB Curve 9360 last month! Well, I’d better wait for next year. I bet BB Playbook’s price would still go down.
Derrick says:
sir where can we buy said discounted playbook?
