One of the devices that Huawei included in its new Smart Office lineup is the Huawei MatePad Pro 11, sporting an 11-inch OLED screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 870/888 chipset, dual-rear cameras, and an 8,300mAh battery. Read our hands-on of this new mobile productivity device.
As the name suggests, the Huawei MatePad Pro 11 has an 11-inch screen with a WQXGA (2560 x 1600) resolution or equal to 274ppi. It uses an OLED panel, so it produces deep blacks and punchy colors. Animations and transitions are smooth as well, thanks to the 120Hz refresh rate.
Even though it only has an 11-inch screen, it looks immersive thanks to the slim bezels with a 92% screen-to-body ratio, while remaining compact, slim, and light.
It has a hole punch on the upper left corner (in landscape position) for the 16MP selfie camera.
On the left are the power button and dual speakers.
On the right are the USB-C port and dual speakers, so in total, the MatePad Pro 11 has four speakers.
Up top, we have the volume buttons and microphones.
Flip it on its back and you will see the dual rear cameras consisting of a 13MP main and an 8MP ultra-wide. The camera module is now a circle, similar to what the you see on the Huawei P50 series.
The Huawei MatePad Pro 11 comes in Golden Black color. You wouldn’t notice that until you see it from behind, as the bezel of the camera module and the Huawei badge sport the color gold. The entire back panel, on the other hand, has this dark gray color but is dusted with specs of silver. It’s kind of like stars in the night sky.
The Huawei MatePad Pro 11 supports accessories like the detachable Huawei Smart Magnetic Keyboard folio with a stylus pocket at the back, Huawei M-Pencil (2nd-gen), and the new Huawei Wireless Mouse. With this setup, the tablet becomes a mobile productivity device for light work.
Powering the tablet is either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 (GOT-W29) or 888 (GOT-AL09) chipset, 8GB or 12GB RAM, 128GB or 256GB of storage, WiFi 6, 8,300mAh battery with 66W fast charging, and HarmonyOS 3 with support for Huawei Super Device features, meaning it can work in tandem with other Huawei devices that supports the same feature.
The Huawei MatePad Pro 11 is yet to be priced, but it is set to be available for pre-order in the Philippines on September 2 and will go on sale on September 9.
