LG G Pad 8.3 becomes official

LG Mobile has finally made official their newest Android tablet, the LG G Pad 8.3. This was the tablet they teased us earlier with a video asking folks on the street what they want in a tablet.

LG is dropping the Optimus brand on their tablet, just like what they did with the G2 smartphone.

LG G Pad 8.3 specs:
8.3-inch IPS LCD @ 1920 x 1200 pixels, 273ppi
Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 1.7GHz quad-core processor
Adreno 320 Graphics
2GB RAM
16GB internal storage
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
Bluetooth 4.0
HSPA+/LTE 100Mbps
5MP rear camera
2.1 MP front-facing camera
4600mAh Li-Ion battery
Android 4.2.2 Jellybean

LG Mobile is supposed to show this at IFA in Berlin next week (we’ll try to check it out when we get there) and is said to release the tablet by 4th quarter of this year. No word on the pricing as well but we’ll update you once we get the details.

Internal storage is not enough for power users. Lacks expandable memory for micro sd. No front cam. Rear cam has 5mp only. No flash.

Finally a full hd in the mini tab category and sporting a very high calibre hardware. 18k would be a bargain for this considering that the much lower spec note 8 of samsung is about that price range. But when compared to the 15k apple ipad mini with its antiquated vga display, vga camera and antiquated dual core cortex A5 apple chip, and a casing made of the cheapest material from china foundry, only the foolish and idiots would think its even worthier than chery mobile. Apple ipad mini don’t even deserve 5k price. 3k maybe. Experience the full hd experience in tablet, go android. Apple is just gimmick its just vga loaded with blah blah. A hardware resolution is fixed dots per inch, no amount of apple blah blah could make a 640 pixel apple display made in vietnam looks even close to 720 pixel myphone made by sharp.

The commenters on top are no more than idiots hired by LG’s marketing dept to spread unfounded information about the product. See the trend on all posts related to LG.

  6. John says:

Damn, this tablet is so sexy.
gonna get this tablet instead of N7 2nd Gen.

  7. suigeneris says:

    Looks gorgeous!

  8. Cuaki says:

I hope the tablet will go between the 10K to 18K price point.
    Wag lang masyadong mahal.

    • abuzalzal says:

Wag lang lumampas ng 20K, but knowing LG, this aint going to be cheap

Originally set my eyes on the Nexus 7 pero mukhang napaka-widespread ng Touchscreen problem…yung iba sinasabi lang walang problema pero tingin ko ayaw lang talagang aminin hehe

This is the tablet that I’m waiting for

  9. Cuaki says:

I hope that tablet will go for a 10K to 18K price point.

  10. XTN says:

I think it’ll be a lot more functional when they put a stylus in it.
