LG Philippines has unveiled its new lineup of monitors in a Top-Gun themed event, the LG 32GQ950, LG 48GQ900, 29MQ780-B, 29WP500, 32GN500, 27UP850-W, and the 27UN880-B.
The LG 32GQ950 boasts a 4K resolution on a 32-inch Nano IPS display with a 144Hz refresh rate that can be overclocked to 160Hz. It also features a 1ms GtG response time and is VESA certified DisplayHDR 1,000. It also has a peak brightness of 1,000 nits.
The marquee monitor of LG, the 48GQ900 is an OLED monitor that features self-lit pixels that also help keep response times fast according to Janille Umali, B2B marketing communications officer. The massive display of the monitor is designed to provide a better viewing experience like no other. It has anti-glare and low reflection technology built-in, ensuring that there are no distractions and you only focus on your game. This, of course, also helps reduce eye strain when used for long periods of time. It has a 0.1 ms response time and 120hz refresh rate. This high speed reduces ghosting in games and helps objects render clearly and makes everything smooth and fluid. It has an ultra slim design that users can wall mount. It also comes with its own remote control. When it comes to sound it comes with two 20w speakers built-in.
Meanwhile the LG Dual Up 28MQ780-B features a very unique 16:18 aspect ratio. It allows users to multitask in a very different way by having a simulated 2 monitors stacked on top of each other. The monitor is part of LG’s Ergo line which is designed for users that want to use their monitors the way they want to. They can move it forward and backward, swivel, rotate, tilt, and more. The monitor covers 98% of the DCI-P3 color space as well.
The 29WP500-B is a 21:9 UltraWide monitor with a 2560 x 1080 resolution. LG is marketing this as a perfect tool for working from home or home learning. Users can easily manage their textbooks, lectures, and the like by having the expanded real estate space of an UltraWide monitor. For gaming, it also comes with AMD freeSync and Dynamic Action Sync, which helps gamers by providing seamless, fluid movement in fast-paced games.
The LG UltraGear 32GN500 is a gaming focused monitor. With a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a 165Hz refresh rate, it also features NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium for smoother movement. The LG UltraGear was set up as a flight simulator during the event to help audiences feel immersed with the monitor.
Lastly, the 27UP850 is a 27-inch 4K IPS monitor while the 27UN880-B is a 4K Ergo IPS Monitor that helps users keep their workstation neat and clean with a one click mount, c-clamp, easy cable management system, and USB-C compatibility.
During the launch event LG also announced a donation in kind of 30 LG UltraGear 32GN500 monitor units to the Naval Air Wing of the Philippine Navy which they can use in their Operating Squadron Offices and Flight Briefing Stations, Command and Control Center, Operations Center, flight simulation rooms to display lectures, flight deck videos, and the like.
