Minecraft’s cross-platform beta update now up on Android and Windows 10

Today, Minecraft players from Android and Windows 10 can test the cross-platform beta update before the Better Together update hits Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, mobile devices, and VR, which allows players on these platforms to be able to play alongside each other.

The beta test is used to stress the game and uncover bugs before its actual release while giving players a chance to preview the build. Features like the Marketplace is included in the update, however servers are not yet functioning.

The Better Together beta test is expected to hit Xbox One within matter of days. Players who own a digital version of Minecraft can test the update by downloading Xbox Insider Hub. Unfortunately, players who own the disc-based version of the game are not eligible to beta test the update.

You can find the instructions on downloading the beta, as well as other information regarding the update, for Xbox One, Windows 10, and Android on Minecraft’s official website.
