d updated article which now mentions i5 7th gen, SSD, 8gb ram, 940mx and fingerprint reader for d VivoBook S already justifies d 45k price. ds is now a better buy to my other choice, dell 7460.
upcoming hp envy 13 2017 edition wd nvidia mx150 (they say it is a mobile GT1030) will be VivoBook S’ fierce competitor. i hope hp brings d variant wd touchscreen.
All overpriced.
ouch for VivoBook S. base model core i3(?) for 45k?! overpriced again (MSI-ECS distributor). for sure, they will again choose the non backlit keyboard variant. 40k up laptops should come wd backlit keyboards. better choice will be dell inspiron 7460, 7th gen core i5, 940MX 2gb GDDR5, 500gb HDD + 128GB SSD and better 720p HD camera instead of d VGA cam of VivoBook S. add touchscreen to ds VivoBook S, then i will choose asus even they add additional 2k.
Yes wew. I was also expecting na nasa 30k plus lang.
Malaki tax sa atin or what?
Malaking good luck sa ASUS.
GOOD LUCK TALAGA.
WOW na WOW sa vivo book S ha.
Yung base price daw na USD499 (Php25k) anyare? Halos dumoble ang presyo (Php45k) pagdating dito?
Malaking good luck sa ASUS.
The ASUS VivoBook S starts from USD 499 or just about Php25k when converted, tapos pag sa pinas naging Php45k ang base model?
I have the same question.
Base on their announcement yesterday its only USD 499 for the base models.
But anyways, for now we just want to know if the price of the devices is for their base models?
I hope you answer, Sir Carl.
Hahahaha.., my thoughts exactly. Anong nangyari sa 25k? Kahit 30k pwede pang isisi sa tax and other duties.
Naging doble yun presyo. Kanila na lang yang mga laptop na yan, may mga alternative laptops from other brand naman siguro na mas affordable kesa sa new Asus laptops na may kaparehong specs.
oo nga. sobra namang ung patong.
Grabe almost doble? I understand there are taxes and duties etc etc but almost twice the price is way way too much. Dapat base model nyan nasa 30k lang. Sayang parang hinahype lang only to find out sobrang mas mahal ang actual. I’m actually looking forward to this kaso…. tsk tsk.
Because the Core i3 version is not coming to PH. Models to be available will have the Core i5 or Core i7.
Yeah, I figured something like this would happen. It’s hard to trust direct dollar-to-peso conversions until meron nang official local price. Mahirap nang mapaasa tapos male-letdown din e.
I wonder why there’s such a huge difference in price, though? Nakaka-curious tuloy
Even if we say that the base model is the i3 at 499USD say let’s peg it at 30k Php and not 25k, the additional 15k doesn’t justify the upgrade to the i5 UNLESS they put the max 16GB RAM(assuming i3 has 4GB) and put in an SSD or 940MX as GPU. Ewan ko ha, parang malaki talaga e. Siguro let’s wait for the actual specs ng i5 kasi puro UP TO ang PR ni ASUS.
