Two weeks ago, we’ve mentioned that ASUS will be releasing two Windows 8 tablets namely the ASUS Vivo Tab and Vivo Tab RT, with the latter sporting a quad-core NVidia Tegra 3 processor. But just how capable is these machines in real life? NVidia might just have the answer to that.
In this short video clip, a rep from NVidia Labs showcased just how powerful the ASUS Vivo Tab RT really is by effortlessly running Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 3 without any signs of lag. If this video demo didn’t convince you that the ASUS Vivo Tab RT is one heck of a beast, I don’t know what will.

As mentioned on the clip, this is the first time that the Unreal Engine 3 is ported on a Windows RT system, and a full PC implementation at that. This enables developers to seamlessly port their apps in the new platform, which means more apps for the consumers.
The ASUS Vivo Tab RT, as well as its Intel Atom-powered counterpart, is expected to be launched this October along with the Windows 8. The pricing is yet to be revealed as of the moment.
I am not really sure why this could be a headline when this video has been out for a while under a different name..Tablet 600
