Promate to launch world’s first Tablet Projector

An electronics company that goes by the name of Promate (Professional Mate) is about to release the world’s first Android tablet that comes with a built-in projector – the LumiTab.

The LumiTab sports a 7-inch WSVGA (1024 x 600, 170ppi) IPS display, a dual-core CPU clocked at 1.5Ghz, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and runs Adroid 4.2 Jellybean. Sounds like an ordinary entry-level slate but wait till you see the built-in 35 lumens projector that is capable of displaying content up to 100-inches diagonally at a WVGA (854 x 480) resolution.

A projector-tablet might be too gimicky to some but for a professional who needs to make business presentations on the go, the LumiTab is a sure treat.

    Nope, they’re not the first one. A company called Smart Devices from Shenzhen, China came out with the Chi U7 way back in October 2012. It does look the same so maybe this is just a re-brand with updated specs.
