realme launched its first-ever tablet — the realme Pad and it is set to launch in the Philippines soon. It is a simple budget Android tablet that aims to offer an all-rounded experience, sporting a 10.4-inch display, four Dolby Atmos speakers, and a large 7,100mAh battery. If you want to know our initial thoughts just keep on reading.
The realme Pad features a slim design and lightweight that makes it feel comfortable in the hands, also thanks to its rounded corners and flat edges for giving a better grip. The frame and back panel are made from aluminum alloy which makes it look more premium. The unit we have is in the Gray color with a matte finish that keeps fingerprints and smudges away. It is also available in Gold colorway if you’re interested.
Also at the back, the tablet features a single camera and a realme logo at the bottom right.
Upfront we get a 10.4-inch IPS LCD display with thick bezels on all sides. In horizontal orientation, you’ll find the front camera on the top bezel. So far, the display looks sharp and brightness is good even when using it under direct sunlight.
Holding the realme Pad in portrait orientation, on the right side are the volume rocker, two microphones, and the hybrid SIM card slot. There’s nothing found on the left.
Up top, we get the power/lock button together with two speakers.
Then at the bottom are the USB Type-C port, two more loudspeakers, and the 3.5mm headphone jack.
For cameras, the realme Pad has 8MP rear and front cameras, and here are some sample shots if you’re interested.
Powering the realme Pad is a MediaTek Helio G80 chipset with Mali-G52 GPU, up to 4GB of RAM, and up to 64GB UFS 3.1 storage. For software, it runs on Android 11 and for the battery, we get a 7,100mAh battery w/ 18W fast charging. We’ll take it for a full spin in the next couple of days, so stay tuned for our full review!
The realme Pad price and availability are yet to be announced.
